The inaugural edition of the Women's World Matchplay was won by
Fallon Sherrock who defeated Aileen de Graaf in the final. However a big absentee was
Beau Greaves.
Greaves who is the current WDF Ladies World Champion in a puzzling move decided not to play the PDC
Women's Series and chase WDF ranking points despite already being qualified for the next Lakeside.
But recently to Tungsten Tales, Greaves said that she will play the Women's Series next year and Sherrock awaits her arrival.
“I think it’s going to make us play better as well. All these young players coming through is going to make us play better because we know we have to up our game," she said after winning the title.
“I cannot wait to see what’s pushed against me now.
“Beau is quality now, imagine next year when she’s got all the experience from the WDF? She’s already World Champion, imagine how many other people she’s going to be able to push?
“It’ll be exciting to see where Beau finishes at the Women’s Series next year."
