It's been a whirlwind few months for
Beau Greaves with the 18-year-old sealing her maiden World title in the WDF and she reflected on that recently with Tungsten Tales.
"There's definitely a different feeling when I'm playing in a game but everyone's been really lovely. I don't feel any different. I wouldn't change it for the world, it's been amazing since then," said Greaves to Tungsten Tales.
"My mum and dad have a habit of rewatching my games all the time so everytime I go downstairs, there's always one of them on but I've never been really one to watch my games back. I'll never forget that."
But while the pressure has been there, she has won multiple WDF tournaments on her return and already has her Lakeside return booked. "I think I've felt the pressure more after the World's winning my first one back which I won the Welsh Open. After that settled down a lot more. Once I won the Welsh Open, I felt a lot more calm walking into events knowing that I didn't have pressure to win and prove that I could win after Lakeside. That was definitely a big relief."
Women's Series
But for many, they are wondering when she will play the PDC and the Women's Series and take on the leading lights in Fallon Sherrock, Lisa Ashton, Lorraine Winstanley among others.
"I am really enjoying it at the minute (the WDF). But I'll probably do the PDC next year, just the Women's Series, give that a good go. I play darts to enjoy myself and I really enjoy the WDF. I go away with my sister and it's just fun and play darts, it's probably why I'm playing so well at the minute because I'm loving it."
Among the incentives includes the Women's World Matchplay and it was simply the case of not wanting to play catch-up.
"I'd missed a few of the Women's Series before and I didn't really want to go to them and feel like I've got to catch up. I wish I was in it there's no doubt about that, but it wasn't really a massive thing for me at the time."
