Earlier this month, she impressed on the big stage at the UK Open, reaching the fourth round and pushing world number one Luke Humphries to the limit in a thrilling contest.
The brilliance of Greaves' recent performances has not escaped Lorraine Winstanley, herself a former finalist at the BDO Women's World Championship at the iconic Lakeside Country Club, either. "She just continues to impress me all the time. You know, for a lot of people, Beau burst onto the scene just a few years ago. But she's been playing a long time, from being about 12," Winstanley tells Tungsten Tales.
"She just has the most amazing composure and resilience, and it takes real grit to get up and do what she does. She never looks phased. I just think she's an amazing advert for Women's Darts," Winstanley continues, expressing her belief that Greaves' lasting legacy will surpass that of her contemporarys. "Nobody can take away what the women have done previously. You know, Fallon Sherrock an amazing job with what she did in the World Championships. Lisa Ashton obviously, being the first woman to win the Tour Card. But Beau is the one in my eyes that is going to take it to the next level."
Because of her strong performances on the Challenge Tour in early 2025, Greaves has already made her Pro Tour debut, stepping in as a replacement. The women's world champion has performed admirably against the best the PDC has to offer too, winning games a showcasing her ability to compete. "She's the whole package, she really is,' concludes Winstanley with warmth. "What a talent."
