Once again Players Championship 23 saw an insane standard on display with Michael Smith and Gary Anderson leading the way in terms of highest averages from Thursday’s action.
Smith reached the Last 16 with his highest effort of 113.54 as he eased past Scott Williams 6-1. While for Anderson, it was his effort of 111.13 which hit the mark as he came second in his win over Stephen Bunting early in the day.
Also Smith finished third with 107.02 against Josh Rock in the opening round. While Dutch duo, Danny Noppert and Niels Zonneveld rounded out the top five.
