Smith and Beeney claim outright Tour Cards on Day 3 at 2020 PDC UK Q-School

Jeff Smith and Aaron Beeney are the next two players to claim outright Tour Cards at 2020 PDC UK Q-School as Day 3 comes to a close.

Smith came through a tough tussle with Seigo Asada who averaged 92.6 but went down to a 5-4 defeat.

It went all the way to a decider and after an exceptional leg against the throw, Asada left himself on 74. Smith was back on 110 but took it out to claim the Tour Card and mark his return to the tour.

From returning the tour to receiving your Tour Card for the first time, Aaron Beeney will join the PDC Tour for the first time after defeating Jarred Cole in the other final match.

Beeney defeated Cole similarly in a tight match in a 5-4 win. It could have been so much different though with Cole missing three match darts but in the end Beeney took his chances to claim his Tour Card.
