Smith and Cullen ease through to final day at International Darts Open, Baker takes Gurney scalp

Michael Smith and Joe Cullen have eased through to the final day at the International Darts Open in Riesa after brilliant opening wins in the afternoon session.
Smith was facing off against Martin Schindler and saw off the home hope 6-2. 'Bully Boy' averaged 96.2 and hit five 180's en route to storming through to the Last 16.
While Cullen's display was even better against another Host Nation Qualifier in Robert Marijanovic. He won through 6-1 with a 101.3 average and 50% on the doubles in an impressive display.
Speaking of impressive displays, it was an impressive scalp for Scott Baker on debut as he saw off sixth seed, Daryl Gurney in a 6-3 win. It was an 89 average for 'The Mod' who hit 6/14 on doubles despite 91.75 and 3/5 from 'Superchin', it wasn't to be.
