Smith hasn't had a great start to 2019 but has shown over the past two days that the form that saw him reach the World Championship and Premier League final is very much still there.
He averaged 101.7 against 'The Iceman' with five 180's to boot and will face either Nathan Aspinall or Peter Wright in the final later.
The match started off quite even between the pair with Smith making it 2-1 in the early going but 'Bully Boy' surged into a 3-1 lead averaging 110 at that point.
His doubling which at times this year has plagued him did so though with him missing one dart to make it 4-1. Price came back to punish and trail 3-2.
At the first break though, Smith restored his two leg cushion at 4-2 up. Once he was back, he continued and went 3 clear of Price at 6-3 up to break throw again.
A fourth 180 saw the St Helens ace one away and very much on the brink of the final. Price kept the final alive with a hold of throw but it was only a matter of time for Smith as he claimed the victory.
