Smith vs Taylor and Heta vs Mansell in semi-finals of Players Championship 28

The semi-finals at Players Championship 18 in Barnsley are set. Ross Smith will face Dom Taylor and Damon Heta will be up against Mickey Mansell.

Ross Smith was once again somewhere near his very best with yet another ton-plus average in brushing aside Ricky Evans (6-2). He will face Dom Taylor in the last four after the 25-year-old saw off Raymond van Barneveld in the last eight (6-2).

In the other semi-final, number 2 seed Damon Heta will play Mickey Mansell. The Australian defeating Luke Woodhouse 6-2 in his quarter-final with Mansell coming through a tie with Ricardo Pietreczko to reach the semis (6-1).
