The seventh night in the Premier League Darts in Cardiff once again brought a spectacle, with Luke Littler as the big standout. The 18-year-old was in top form and managed to finish the evening impressively victorious. He strengthened his leading position in the standings and can almost smell participation in the playoffs at less than half the duration thus far.

The evening began with some surprises. Michael van Gerwen beat Luke Humphries in a thrilling match, while Gerwyn Price unexpectedly lost to Rob Cross in front of his own crowd. Chris Dobey, who is having a difficult season so far, took an important victory over Stephen Bunting and Nathan Aspinall was defeated by the unleashed Littler.

In the semifinals, Van Gerwen finally managed to advance to a weekly final for the first time this season. In a disappointing match, he effortlessly defeated Dobey 6-1. At the other end of the schedule, Littler was once again supreme. With impressive play, he defeated Rob Cross and qualified for the final, where a cracker against Van Gerwen awaited.

The final was a true spectacle, in which Littler showed his best level of the evening. With an average of 112.50, ten 180 scores and a nine darter to top it all off, he won 6-4. As a result, Van Gerwen had to settle for second place in the Welsh capital.

Thanks to his third evening win of the season, Littler increases his lead in the standings. He is now five points clear of Humphries, who remains in second place despite his early elimination. Van Gerwen climbs to third place due to his strong performance, while Price and Cross continue to battle in the sub-top. Dobey picks up important points, while Bunting is still without points.

Next Thursday, the eighth round of Premier League Darts will be finished in Newcastle, which will be a home match for Dobey. As in past editions, the program of the eighth round of play is based on the standings in the Premier League Darts. The number one faces the number eight, the number two meets the number seven, and so on.
