The fourth day of the second week of the MODUS Icons of Darts League begins shortly and as of this week, it is widely available on MODUS’s YouTube channel.
The Icons of Darts League is a competition that runs on 24 different days from Monday April 6 through to Saturday May 2. Each playing week consists of six players. There are five players on each matchday with one player taking a rest.
Each day consists of four matches for each player with the player with the most wins claiming the group win for that day.
So far Jason Askew and Paul Nicholson as well as Arron Monk have taken group wins with the latter currently top of the group standings and aiming to extend his lead today.
Nicholson returns today after his customary day off with Andy Jenkins taking his today so he is not part of the scheduled line up.
Last week was won by David Evans who won by leg difference ahead of Wessel Nijman and both players are now involved in the A Night At The Darts league which takes place in the evenings and also includes Raymond van Barneveld and Martin Adams.

- Many fans had a sour taste in their mouth by the end of this match. Mike was cruising to victory, playing beautiful darts, when the whistling started in earnest, particularly on his doubles. You could see in Mike's face that it was really affecting his concentration. The referee should have asked for order, just to show that the whistling is unacceptable, and Luke Littler could also have done his part to quieten down the crowd instead of "taking full advantage.:" I put that down to his age though. He needs some good advice on this from his management team and/or more seasoned players. It's got to be about who's best on the night, not who is being harassed by the crowd. Luke Littler played well to get back into the game and win, but it was a hollow victory. If he goes on to win the tournament, that triumph too will be tainted because of this match.
