Suljovic was facing off against Jamie Hughes and produced a brilliant comeback from 5-0 down to win through in a 6-5 victory. He survived three match darts in the deciding leg to lose out to 'Yozza'.
It was a scrappy affair with 'The Gentle' hitting 6/28 on the doubles, a 92 average and three 180's but he produced the pivotal doubles to get back into the tie in style and win.
Cross himself smashed through 'The Dutch Giant' Martijn Kleermaker to book his place winning 6-1 with a 101.38 average and 6/7 on the doubles as his return to form continues going into the defence of his European Championship.
