Ashton wins third event on PDC Women's Series and claims lead on ranking; Sherrock needs to win final event to qualify for World Championship

Lisa Ashton has claimed a second title of the weekend on the PDC Women's Series after seeing off Deta Hedman in the final of Event Three.

Ashton defeated Vicky Pruim (4-3), Corrine Hammond (5-4) and finally Hedman (6-3) and as a result, 'The Lancashire Rose' heads to the top of the Order of Merit.

This is £50 ahead of Hedman who is currently in the second spot with both finalists currently occupying the two PDC World Championship spots.

Corrine Hammond and Aileen de Graaf's chances of these spots are now over with Fallon Sherrock the only player who can claim one now.

'The Queen of the Palace' though will need to win the final event in the PDC Women's Series to claim the final spot which means the progress of the Milton Keynes ace will be pivotal to confirming the two spots.
