Taylor dominates top 10 highest match averages at UK Open (2003-2020)

Ahead of the UK Open taking place this weekend, we take a look back at the highest one match averages in the history of the UK Open with Phil Taylor dominating as expected.

Seven out of the top ten are all in favour of Taylor with the top three all between 2009-2010 for 'The Power' which were the penultimate two times he claimed the title.

The five time champion tops the list with 118.66 against Kevin Painter back in 2010 followed by 115.62 and 115.51 against Mark Lawrence and Ken Mather in 2009.

Michael van Gerwen is one of only two players to appear on the list barring Taylor with 'Mighty Mike' having two averages on the list. The first coming back in 2015 when he hit 114.91 against Kim Huybrechts.

The last and latest on the list is last year's Quarter-Final win over Rob Cross which garnered an average of 110.81.

Peter Wright is the only other player on the list with 110.88 against Raymond van Barneveld back in 2017. Can any other player add themselves to this list this weekend in Milton Keynes.
