Target Darts have officially gone galactic. To celebrate their groundbreaking collaboration with Disney, the brand hosted a special Star Wars: Return of the Jedi screening at London’s Soho Hotel, and I was lucky enough to be there. From lightsaber-inspired barrels to intricate Vader designs, I got hands-on with the full limited-edition range, and trust me, it’s unlike anything the darting galaxy has seen before.

A Night at the Soho Hotel

The evening was pure cinema, quite literally. Target Darts transformed the already eye-catching Soho Hotel into a mini Star Wars universe to showcase their new, groundbreaking collaboration with the film franchise giants Disney. After arriving at the venue, guests were greeted with a free bar, enough canapés to keep even the hungriest dart player content and a full display of the themed equipment, each item more impressive than the last.
As part of the night, I had the privilege of being among the first people on the planet to actually throw the new range, headlined of course, by the top-end Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader darts. These premium editions are set to retail at £599.99, with only 2,000 of each being made. One Target representative told me that each individual barrel took a painstaking 80 minutes to machine, all to perfectly replicate the look of their respective lightsabers.

Darth Vader-Inspired Detail Like Never Before

The craftsmanship on the mid-tier range might just be the most impressive part of the entire collaboration. Retailing at £249.95, these barrels feature a grip made up of dozens of mini Darth Vader masks, a mind-blowing level of detail that extends to the inclusion of his iconic chest plate on the barrel.
Paired with the red Vader-inspired K-Flex stems, they’re arguably the best-looking darts I’ve ever seen. Every small design choice feels deliberate, authentic, and worthy of both Star Wars fans and serious dart players alike.

Taking Flight with the X-Wings

Finally, we had the lower-tier range: X-Wing and TIE Fighter inspired barrels, retailing at £99.95. These were the ones I threw with the most, mainly because the others were so expensive I felt an overwhelming pressure not to damage them with a stray dart.
Of the two, I preferred the X-Wing set. I even hit a few tons and 140s in front of the crowd, including an 85 scored on camera (5, 20, T20). The darts were paired with R2-D2 K-Flex stems and thrown at a Star Wars-inspired Target dartboard surrounded by a stunning Millennium Falcon board surround.

Join the Dark Side? Tempting.

There were also Stormtrooper-themed K-Flex flights and several collector’s cases on display, including R2-D2, Stormtrooper, and Darth Maul editions. My personal favourite? The Darth Maul K-Flex flights and matching Darth Maul case, easily enough to tempt any player over to the dark side.

Lights, Darts, Action

After about an hour and a half of filming, chatting with Target’s team, and mingling with familiar faces like Charlie Murphy and two of the Bullhitters, guests were treated to a private screening of Return of the Jedi inside the hotel’s luxurious in-house cinema. Think leather chairs, cow-pattern upholstery, and enough atmosphere to make any Star Wars fan grin like a Wookiee at a pub quiz.

Final Thoughts

It was an incredible night, a perfect blend of film nostalgia, craftsmanship, and darts innovation. Huge thanks to Target Darts for the invitation and the hospitality.
If you’re considering adding something from this collection to your setup, my recommendation would be the Star Wars dartboard and Millennium Falcon surround (£149.95), paired with the mid-tier Darth Vader darts and red K-Flex stems. It’s a combination worthy of any darter, Jedi, Sith, or somewhere in between.
