Chris Dobey joked that the headline act was on first as he set his course further at the PDC World Darts Championship with a phenomenal win over Josh Rock.
Dobey as much as he isn't looking ahead to it is now meeting Kevin Doets or Krzysztof Ratajski for a spot in the Quarter-Finals and with his superb game continuing could be a real threat for the final come next weekend.
Especially given the form he exhibited against Rock with a real Hollywood display for a player firmly on the rise on the big stage again.

"It was another battle out there and I'm just delighted to come through such a great game. I've struggled on the big stage, it's just good to bring it on the biggest stage of all and start winning again. I haven't played bad, there's a couple where I've been disappointed. But yeah you put that right, I went home and worked on that and brought the good game to the biggest stage of all," said Dobey.
"I don't care who I play. They both fancy their chances. Their half has opened up but I don't look too much into that, I know whoever I'm going to be playing, it's going to be a tough task. I can't underestimate any of them."
"You can't show any signs of defeat. I think I went in confident because I've got a not bad record against Josh. He's kind of a rhythm player same as me."
He also said that he had assessed some facets of the draw but isn't looking too much into it while also discussing the fact that he played on the same night as Littler and Van Gerwen and what that does for his psyche.
"Me and Callan Rydz have spoke and we're in the same half but we can meet in the semi-final. You've got so many good players in front of you, you can't think that far forward."
"The headline acts gets on first is that not how it works. I'm just happy to get the win playing well. Let them get on and do what they need to do. I'm not bothered about what they have to do."
