"The most important thing is that I keep working on myself" - Dimitri Van den Bergh keen to quickly move on after early exit at Belgian Darts Open

The Belgian Darts Open ended in disappointment for Dimitri Van den Bergh. The brand new UK Open champion went down 6-5 in the first round against Stephen Bunting.

Van den Bergh, however, had come to Wieze with confidence. "I tried to tighten the bow again after that UK Open triumph. Victory wasn't in the cards today, but still I made steps forward again compared to last year," Van den Bergh told VTM 2. "I have only been working with my sports psychologist for a few months. Still, I was able to use certain things again today during the match. In general, however, I have to admit that my opponent was better today."

"The best won today, simple," Van den Bergh continued. "But I don't want to mourn this for too long and keep working hard on myself. I certainly didn't play bad, but Stephen gets one match dart and throws out right away, which is class. It also shows why he's already won a major this year, he's just a fantastic player."
