These were the 10 highest averages of the 2024 World Series of Darts Finals with surprising name top of the list

The Dutch fans at the AFAS Live in Amsterdam were treated to a high-level tournament last weekend. During the tournament, a total of fourteen averages of over one hundred were thrown. Read here the ten highest averages thrown during the 2024 World Series of Darts Finals.
The absolute leader on the list is somewhat surprising name of Kevin Doets, who played a brilliant opening match against Keane Barry. The Dutchman outplayed his Irish opponent 6-0 by throwing an average of 109.98.
Tournament winner Luke Littler threw the second highest average of the tournament. 'The Nuke' put in a performance of 107.95 per turn in his semifinal against Michael van Gerwen. In this match, Littler was trailing 2-4, but by winning nine legs in a row, Littler pulled out an 11-4 win.
The Englishman was on a roll during the tournament clearly, as he threw an average above 100 in all of his matches, four of which finished in the top ten. Littler also reached averages of 103.30 (last 32 against Ross Smith), 102.91 (quarterfinal against Chris Dobey), 102.24 (last 16 against Raymond van Barneveld) and 102.21 (final against Michael Smith).
Michael van Gerwen threw his best match of the tournament in the last sixteen. The 35-year-old Dutchman beat compatriot Danny Noppert 6-3 thanks to an average of 106.17. Luke Humphries was a fraction below that with an average of 106.09 in his won match against Damon Heta (6-5).
Chris Dobey threw in an average of 103.94 in his second round against Boris Krcmar, good for fifth place on the list. Michael Smith also had a top-10 listing to grab. 'Bullyboy' won 10-9 over Rob Cross in his quarterfinal thanks to an average of 103.02. Damon Heta's average in his lost second round match against Luke Humphries was good for a ninth spot on the list. In that match, he threw a 102.41 per turn average.
