These were the highest averages on the Players Championship circuit in 2024

The Players Championship circuit of thirty tournaments is over. Almost 4,000 matches were completed on this circuit throughout 2024. In two of these matches an average of over 120 was thrown.

Statistics platform Premium Dart Data has published a list of the 15 highest averages recorded during the 2024 Players Championship circuit.

The list is headed by Gary Anderson, who managed to throw an average of no less than 123.83 during Players Championship 15. Anderson started his match against Andrew Gilding with an 11-darter, then doubled the lead with a 12-darter. A 170 finish for another 12-darter then made it 3-0. The Scot then made it 4-0 in thirteen arrows, before Gilding needed an 11-darter to get on the scoreboard. In the sixth leg, Anderson started with two 180s, but a nine-darter was not forthcoming. A 13-darter did make it 5-0. Anderson then put a 6-1 final score on the scoreboard via a 13-darter.

No player threw as many high averages as Anderson. In the top-11 list, the name of the two-time world champion appears no less than five times. 'The Flying Scotsman' went on to achieve averages of 117.12, 114.41, 114.15 and 113.97.

The only other player with a 120+ average on the Players Championship circuit this season was Ritchie Edhouse. During Players Championship 26, Edhouse threw a 120.24 per turn average in his match against Graham Hall.

Robert Owen (115.85), Krzysztof Ratajski (115.35), Andrew Gilding (115.12 and 114.00), Dave Chisnall (114.03), Wessel Nijman (113.50), Josh Rock (113.39), Ross Smith (113.23) and Gerwyn Price (113.05) are the other players in the list of highest averages during this Players Championship season.
