Luke Humphries was responsible for the highest match average of the tournament during the past
World Darts Championship. 'Cool Hand Luke' threw an average of 108.74 per turn in his semi-final win against Scott Williams.
In doing so, he relegated
Stephen Bunting to second place. 'The Bullet' had recorded an average of 107.28 in his second-round match against Ryan Joyce. The top five is further completed by a trio of averages from
Luke Littler.
Indeed, the English teenage sensation threw averages of 106.12 (first round), 106.05 (semifinals) and 105.01 (last sixteen), good for third, fourth and fifth place on the list.
Behind that are two more averages from Humphries, who also managed to produce averages of 103.67 (final) and 103.50 (quarterfinal) during the World Darts Championship. Also in the top-10 are
Ross Smith (103.33),
Chris Dobey (103.09) and
