Martin Thomas has taken the win at the resumption of the PDC UK
Challenge Tour. In the final of the seventh tournament of the season he was too strong for Shaun McDonald (5-2).
On his way to the final the Welshman had beaten Connor Scutt (5-1), Russell Murphy (5-2), Daniel Day (5-3), Rhys Hayden (5-1), Robert Thornton (5-4) and Reece Robinson (5-0).
The Challenge Tour circuit is open to players who have participated in the Q-School, but have not won a Tour Card.
Due to travel restrictions still in place due to the corona pandemic, this year's Challenge Tour has been split into a separate circuit for both British and European players. The winners of both tours will be allowed to participate in the upcoming World Championship and receive a PDC Tour Card for 2022 and 2023.
