The World Darts Federation (WDF) announced Friday afternoon that this year's World Masters will once again not take place. The event has been cancelled due to the corona restrictions. Last year the historic tournament, of which the first edition took place in 1974, was also cancelled due to the corona pandemic.
It has been decided to postpone the World Masters for one year. The new dates are Thursday 8 to Sunday December 11, 2022. The tournament will take place in the Bonte Wever in Assen.
Around the World Masters it was also planned to play the new WDF tournament the World Open and the World Championship qualifier for Lakeside. These events in Assen have not been cancelled yet. More information will be available shortly.
