The next night of the 2024
Premier League Darts will be played in the English city of Nottingham this coming Thursday. As such, we look back at historic moments that have happened in the past of a playing city.
In all honesty, the list of spectacular things to have happened in the past Nottingham nights of the Premier League Darts is a rather short one. Raymond van Barneveld once won there with 112 average from Kevin Painter and two players managed to throw a 170 finish in this city.
One of those 170 finishes we now highlight. The then 27-year-old Mark Webster managed to reel in the big fish during his match against
Phil Taylor during the 2011 edition.
Despite the beautiful check-out, The Spider failed to take the win against Taylor. The latter won the game 8-5, thanks to an average of almost 104. Notably, Webster finished last in the Premier League that year with just two wins from 14 matches.
