Always one of the most entertaining tournaments of the year, tickets for the Boyle Sports World Grand Prix will go on sale next week starting on Tuesday May 9th.

The double-start event returns to Leicester between October 2nd-8th and PDCTV annual members will get a first look in at the tickets next Tuesday, before everyone who has signed up for priority interest on Wednesday, May 10th. The rest of the tickets available will then go on general sale at 12:00 BST on Thursday, May 11th.
Last year of course, Michael van Gerwen claimed his sixth career World Grand Prix title surviving a late fightback in the final from Nathan Aspinall to take a 5-3 and seal the deal.
Looking back on it now, Mighty Mike's run to victory was very challenging although the supreme Dutchman made it look easy. Defeating Gary Anderson 2-0 in the opening round, van Gerwen then came through a tight contest with Stephen Bunting 3-2 before defeating Chris Dobey 3-1 with a 99 average to reach the semi-finals.
In the last 4, van Gerwen absolutely destroyed his old rival Peter Wright 4-0 in a phenomenal display that set him up perfectly for the final win over Aspinall.
