Tuesday night are the final group stage matches of the
Grand Slam of Darts. Three players in action tonight have already secured their place in the last 16, but several options remain for the remaining five tickets to the knockout phase.
Tonight it is the turn of the players in groups E-F-G-H, after the players in groups A-B-C-D completed their group stage on Monday night. Eleven players thus already know they are in the last 16. Below you can read the options for the remaining five spots.
Group E
3.
Peter Wright 2pts (-3)
4.
Dave Chisnall 0pts (-2)
- Stowe Buntz is already certain of a place in the last 16. If he grabs at least three legs against Dave Chisnall, he is guaranteed group winner
- Dave Chisnall can no longer make the second round, but is guaranteed third in the group with a win over Buntz
- Stephen Bunting and Peter Wright will decide in their duel who qualifies for the next round with Buntz
Group F
1.
Danny Noppert 4pts (+4)
2.
Brendan Dolan 2pts (+1)
- Danny Noppert needs four legs to qualify definitively for the knockout phase. A win over Brendan Dolan will make him the group winner anyway
- Haruki Muramatsu only has a chance to qualify for the last 16 if he wins by at least 5-2 against Andrew Gilding. With that result, Brendan Dolan must lose 5-1 to Danny Noppert
- Andrew Gilding needs to take at least three legs against Haruki Muramatsu and then hope Brendan Dolan takes fewer legs against Danny Noppert
- Brendan Dolan must take as many legs against Danny Noppert anyway as Andrew Gilding did against Haruki Muramatsu, and hope Muramatsu does not win 5-2, 5-1 or 5-0
Group G
- Michael van Gerwen is already through to the last sixteen and is assured of a group win if he emerges victorious against Martijn Kleermaker
- Martijn Kleermaker can no longer make it to the second round. If he wins by at least 5-3 from Michael van Gerwen, Kleermaker does secure third place
- Rob Cross and Fallon Sherrock will fight it out between themselves who advances to the knockout stage. If Michael van Gerwen loses to Martijn Kleermaker, a 5-0 win over Sherrock will make Cross the group winner
Group H
2.
Beau Greaves 2pts (+3)
- Nathan Aspinall has already qualified for the second round. If Damon Heta wins against Beau Greaves, Aspinall needs four legs against Ricardo Pietreczko to secure himself group winner. If Greaves wins over Heta, Aspinall must win against Pietreczko to top the group
- Ricardo Pietreczko is already eliminated, but with a win over Nathan Aspinall still has a chance to finish third
- Beau Greaves and Damon Heta will decide who advances to the last 16 in a straight shootout. If Greaves wins and Aspinall loses, Greaves is group winner
