Top 20 highest averages ever on European Tour (2012-2020)

From 3 September, the Hungarian Darts Trophy will see the resumption of the European Tour and as a result, DartsNews looks back at the top 20 averages since its iteration in 2012.

The record has been held by Dave Chisnall since Saturday September 1, 2018. Then Chizzy averaged 118.66 in his match against Mark Webster at the German Darts Championship.

He has a total of four high averages on the list with 113.09, 112.73 and 112.25 also hit by the St Helens ace. Before that Michael van Gerwen unsurprisingly was the long term record holder. He hit 117.94 during the German Darts Championship in 2015 against Gary Anderson in the final.

He can also add 115.57, 115.13, 114.70, 114.00, 113.63, 112.26 and 111.93 to the list.

While Phil Taylor is the third player to have multiple averages in the top 20 with 115.31 and 112.73.

The other players in the top-20 are Adrian Lewis (115.62), Michael Smith (114.15), Joe Cullen (113.77), Peter Wright (113.77), Ronnie Baxter (112.90) and Ross Smith (112.86).
