Two-time World Champion Adrian Lewis set for indefinite darting break after being absent from recent tournaments

Two-time World Champion, Adrian Lewis is set for an indefinite break from darts explaining his recent absence from tournaments as he took to Twitter on Saturday afternoon.

Lewis last played during a Players Championship weekend back in mid March losing in the first round to Mervyn King and Cameron Crabtree before losing in two European Tour Qualifiers.

'Jackpot' has also withdrawn from multiple ProTour weekends and European Tours he has been involved in this season and said that he needs a break from the professional circuit for now in a statement.

"Dear all, in particular my fans, I feel that your loyalty deserves an explanation for my absence from tournaments. After 20+ years I feel I need a break from the professional circuit for now.Massive thanks for the support from my fans & sponsors," he said.

"Also I'd like to thank PDC and PDPA for the opportunity and last but not least my family."
