Ricardo Pietreczko successfully advanced on Friday to Saturday's second round of the
Austrian Darts Open thanks to a 6-4 defeat of Cameron Menzies.
In this match, the German played well, averaging an impressive 95.34. "Was it really that good?" he asked in astonishment during the subsequent interview. "Didn't feel so good, to be honest."
He also praised his opponent's play. "Cameron was good too with a 170 finish at just the right moment. It was a really nice game."
The German already displayed impressive bullseye hitting at the PDC
European Tour event in Leverkusen and also his match in Graz on Friday, Pikachu continued his brilliant bullseye success. Against Menzies, he checked out two legs courtesy of the bullseye. "I like the bullseye. There's no other way to say it. I train a lot on the bullseye and I think it's paying off."
Finally, Pietreczko praised the Austrian audience and the support that came from them: "The audience is very nice. Above all, that they support everyone."
