Dimitri van den Bergh reached the last eight at the
UK Open at the expense of
Gary Anderson. The latter failed to take the lead at the end of the game, resulting in a 10-8 win for the Belgian.
Van den Bergh led 8-5 after 13 legs, but Anderson managed to come back to 8-8. However the Scotsman missed three darts to take over the lead, before Van den Bergh hit double 12 to make it 9-8. Anderson missed another two doubles in the 18th leg, allowing 'The Dreammaker' to take out 120 for the match.
Martin Schindler managed to advance to the quarter-finals of the 'FA Cup of Darts' on board 2. The German recorded a 10-8 victory over former major champion
Jonny Clayton. Schindler missed two matchdarts in the 18th leg, but had another chance after Clayton missed two chances to make it 9-9. Schindler finally hit the double 8 with his third match-dart for a place into the next round.
