Dimitri van den Bergh has remained top of the
Premier League Darts table after victory over Rob Cross in a high quality clash to continue Night Seven.
It featured a 101 average from Van den Bergh as well as five 180's apiece as his brilliant run continues with a 7-4 win.
Van den Bergh took the opening leg but Cross returned to break back for 1-1. But a pivotal break followed at 3-2 for 'The Dreammaker' who hit 96 to hit the front with two 180's and a 103 average.
He held from there to consolidate that break and smashed in an excellent 124 checkout to extend that to 5-2 up.
An 89 checkout saw him guarantee himself at least a point at 6-2 up but he had issue closing out the tie from there.
He missed two match darts and Cross saved the match with a 97 checkout. A break occurred following that as Cross attempted a late run for a point but it was thwarted as it proved a mere consolation with Van den Bergh getting over the line.
