Dimitri van den Bergh will take his Premier League Darts play-off fortunes into the final night of regular action after snatching a draw against James Wade.
Van den Bergh will face Jonny Clayton tomorrow in a pivotal tie to decide the final spot and he has snapped a run of defeats by drawing with Wade which featured a 101 average and four ton-plus checkouts en route.
Van den Bergh produced a good start to the tie by breaking throw with a 104 checkout before Wade hit back with an 81 checkout on the bull to make it 1-1.
Legs were shared from there before Wade broke for a 4-2 advantage which was consolidated before 'The Machine' maintained his three leg cushion at 6-3 up as he headed towards the finishing line.
Van den Bergh took out 127 to give himself a glimmer of hope before a missed dart at bull for a 164. Wade had two at double 20 for at least a point but returned after Van den Bergh missed his opportunity to break.
Three more were missed by Wade taking his tally up to five before double eight was taken out for a break by Van den Bergh at 6-5 down.
Parity was claimed by Van den Bergh from there with a 104 checkout at 6-6. But with legs running out, Wade hit a 121 checkout to head into a 7-6 lead and take a potential win away from Van den Bergh.
But 'The Dreammaker' took a share of the spoils with a 130 on the bull in the last leg.
