Gerwyn Price has topped the Premier League Darts table for the first time with four nightly wins (so far) over the 16 weeks with Dimitri van den Bergh dumping out Michael Smith ending 'Bully Boy's hopes.
Van den Bergh sealed a 6-4 win to end Smith's nine-match winning run and this meant that Price will seal the bonus heading into next week's play-offs.
He broke initially on double eight and Smith's wasteful doubling allowed Van den Bergh to surge 4-0 up and deal early damage.
Smith went 4-2 down but Van den Bergh took out 132 on the bull to go 5-2 up. Smith went 5-4 down but a 14-darter sealed it 6-4 with a 57 checkout.
He will now face a familiar foe who he has a torrid record against in Michael van Gerwen who survived a late comeback from Chris Dobey to seal it 6-3.
Van Gerwen's doubling in closing out the game let him down until a 74 checkout saw him finally seal it. Before that, he spurned three match darts to claim it 6-1 and amid a visible shoulder injury spurned more darts allowing 'Hollywood' a route back in but he finally claimed it.
