By winning the Dutch Darts Masters at the Ziggo Dome, Dimitri van den Bergh has also taken the lead on the World Series Order of Merit.
The Belgian played two of the three World Series tournaments this season, but managed to win both. Van den Bergh leads the ranking with 24 points. Michael Smith, winner of the World Series event in New York, is number two with 18 points. An advantage for 'Bully Boy' is that Van den Bergh did not get an invitation for the next three World Series tournaments in Australia and New Zealand.
The same goes for James Wade and Michael van Gerwen, with respectively thirteen and twelve points the numbers three and four on the World Series Order of Merit. Gary Anderson was absent in Amsterdam, but is still fifth with nine points. Dirk van Duijvenbode's final at the Dutch Darts Masters put him in eighth place with eight points.
Behind him are Danny Noppert and Fallon Sherrock (both five points), followed by Jonny Clayton with four points. Clayton, like Sherrock, will also play in the next three World Series tournaments.
