Vincent van der Voort is through to the World Matchplay Quarter-Finals for the first time since 2009 after seeing off Daryl Gurney in an 11-5 win.
Van der Voort has a major chance to produce a phenomenal run this week with the tournament blown wide open and he said for him in particular the first few legs showed exactly what he can do when he is at his best.
“It was a good win. I was practising so well, but you never know what goes on on stage," said 'The Dutch Destroyer' post match to
Online Darts.
“The first five legs I played amazing. That showed what I can do when I’m healthy and on form.”
