Vincent van der Voort is known as a big sports fan. So during the summer break, 'The Dutch Destroyer' does not have to be bored with major sporting events such as Wimbledon, the Tour de France, F1 races and the start of the soccer season.
So that is exactly what Van der Voort will spend his vacation time on. ''I'm going on vacation for two weeks and for the rest it's a lot of watching sports. I always have fun with that.''
Van der Voort especially enjoyed Wimbledon. The Dutchman hopes to be there live one day himself. ''That's one on my bucket list to go there one day,'' he told 433 Darts.
But that's easier said than done. ''Wimbledon is not that easy to go to. I'm not going to queue early in the morning (the famous queue, ed.) for a ticket, I don't do that. And to buy tickets is really difficult. I've tried that a few times, but then you have to be drawn. And yes, with my luck you're never getting them,'' said a cynical Van der Voort.
