Dirk van Duijvenbode lost his PDC Tour Card at the end of last year but immediately regained it at 2020 PDC Q-School this past weekend finishing top of the European Order of Merit.
Van Duijvenbode was very much satisfied speaking to RTL7 afterwards and said that in reality he had no doubts: “My goal has been achieved. To be honest, I never doubted that I would win my Tour Card again. That may sound arrogant, but you have to have that confidence. "
'Titan' also wants to use this to his advantage and added that he is looking at doubles as his main improvement point: “Last year I was in the top 32 in terms of averages on the Pro Tour. That proves that the potential is there, but then I have to hit doubles better. That makes the difference between an 80th place in the world ranking or a place in the top 50. "
He also set an ambition for 2020 and that is to return to the Alexandra Palace: “I want to qualify for the World Championship because that is what everything is all about in darts. For the World Championship, there is so much more attention than for other tournaments, you just want to be there. ”
