The second round continues at the
Hungarian Darts Trophy with
Dirk van Duijvenbode and Karel Sedlacek the latest to move through with the former the only seeded player into the Last 16 so far.
Van Duijvenbode impressed and reversed a bad run of form against Chris Dobey in a high quality tie which saw 'The Titan' seal it with a 104 average and six 180's.
Going 5-1 up and seemingly easing the finishing line, it was an early break followed by an 11-darter that set the Aubergenius on his way before breaking again after Dobey had missed five darts to hold at 4-1.
Dobey broke back with an 11-darter of his own at 5-3 to ask the question with an 86 checkout but after missing two darts to hold, Van Duijvenbode pounced on double 20.
While Sedlacek produced one of the performances of the tournament so far stunning Ryan Searle in a sensational display.
Becoming a real main stay of the
European Tour after losing his Tour Card, 'Evil Charlie' has continued to impress and did so again against 'Heavy Metal'.
Producing a 6-3 win of his own, he hit a 96.8 average, 75% on the doubles and a high checkout of 126 in a sensational display and followed Josh Rock and Rusty-Jake Rodriguez as non-seedeed players to move through.
