Rampant Rock edges past Heta, Rodriguez thrashes Noppert in ruthless display

The second round has started at the Hungarian Darts Trophy with two standout displays already in Budapest as Josh Rock and Rusty-Jake Rodriguez have dumped out seeded opposition in Damon Heta and Danny Noppert.

Starting off the afternoon was the superb clash between Rock and Heta and it delivered with the Northern Irishman improving on his opening day win to seal it 6-4 with a 103.5 average and 66% on the doubles in a match that included nine 180's.

While Rodriguez thrashed Noppert 6-1 with a 99 average in a rampant rout to reach the Last 16 and join Rock.

Noppert only got four chances on the doubles of which he converted one. He missed two chances to break Rodriguez in the first leg and was trailing 4-0 moments later. Noppert then made it 1-4 with a 76 finish, but he didn't get any more chances for a leg.
