It was heralded as "The Last Dance," the last ever showdown between darts legends Michael van Gerwen and Phil Taylor. Saturday night they faced each other at an exhibition event in Chester, England.
However, the battle between three-time world champion Van Gerwen and 16-time world champion Taylor was not exciting. The game was won 4-0 by Van Gerwen.
A look at the statistics shows that the level difference was immense. Van Gerwen once again proved to be in top form, recording an average of 111.33, while the 63-year-old Taylor did not get beyond an average of 85.12.
