The first semi-final is confirmed at the European Darts Matchplay with Michael van Gerwen set to take on Dave Chisnall later this evening after a duo of deciding leg wins.

Van Gerwen defeated Krzysztof Ratajski in a deciding leg win. He edges closer to a 33rd European Tour title with a 100 average and five 180's reaching the semi-finals as a result.
Ratajski went 3-2 up in the early going after MVG squandered darts but it went back and forward with Van Gerwen though edging ahead at 5-4 up.
'The Polish Eagle' took out 66 to force a decider at 5-5 but Van Gerwen was throwing for the match and he claimed the victory from there.
Chisnall and Rob Cross on the other hand had a game which was marred by a plethora of bounce-outs and he survived three match darts from 'Voltage' in a 6-5 victory.
'Chizzy' had a strong start going 3-1 up with four 180's at the time. Chisnall suffered an unfortunate bounce-out and Cross went to one behind.
Cross had problems finishing and Chisnall went 5-3 up but the St Helens ace wired a match dart and Cross came back to ensure a deciding leg.
Despite that though, Chisnall moved through but he will know he will need to play better when he takes on Van Gerwen later on.
