In between a Premier League playing day and two Players Championships, Michael van Gerwen was a guest in Wales on Friday for an exhibition tournament.
Van Gerwen made his appearance at the 'Ace of Sports' tournament in Mynydd Isa, where he played against a variety of young and more seasoned players. For instance, he took on an 11-year-old talent. "I would have been jealous of how you played at your age when I was eleven," Van Gerwen said.

The highlight of the evening was the match between Shaun 'The Sheep' Thompson' and Michael van Gerwen. Thompson had won the 'Ace of Sports' tournament and therefore got to take on the three-time world champion. After an exciting match, it was 'MVG' who eventually won 3-2.
Finally, Van Gerwen gave away a shirt, which will later be auctioned for charity.
