Michael van Gerwen will face Krzysztof Ratajski this afternoon as the
UK Open reaches the Quarter-Final stage in Milton Keynes.
Van Gerwen continued his title defence with a deciding leg victory over Jose de Sousa but he knows improvement will be needed.
"It is my fault that I let him come back into the game and that it eventually became so exciting. At one point I missed too many doubles. At times you could see the old Van Gerwen tonight, but to end this tournament, I will not be able to afford any mistakes tomorrow, "said Van Gerwen at RTL 7.
In the quarter-finals, 'MVG' meets Krzysztof Ratajski, who beat Jonny Clayton with an impressive 10-3 victory.
"Krzysztof has been playing very well lately. Still I think the pressure will be on him because I have very good statistics against him, that will certainly creep into his head."
