Gerwyn Price was in superb form at times as he saw off Chris Dobey and moved into the Quarter-Finals of the
UK Open where he will play Devon Petersen.
Price spoke to Dutch TV station, RTL7 following his victory and said that with double trouble towards the end, he was having memories of his World final.
"I started bombing a couple of doubles and memories came back from the World Championship. I'm thrilled with the way I played halfway through the game but a bit slack towards the end," said Price to RTL7.
He also gave an update on his condition with an ear condition blighting his progress during the Super Series.
"That Super Series set me back a little bit. I wasn't very well and I wasn't in a good place with my ear infection. It's not 100% right now but I'll take some more antibiotics next week and hopefully over the next five or six days it'll clear up and I'll be 100% again."
While Dutch legend, Co Stompé chimed in with a question about him being quiet and more muted than before and he said it is due to the lack of crowd.
"These arenas behind closed doors, there's no atmosphere and with the other boards around, it feels like a ProTour and I'm really quiet on the ProTours so it probably feels the same to what the ProTours do."
