Van Gerwen-Noppert and De Sousa-Gilding among Quarter-Finals at Players Championship 9

The Quarter-Final line-up has been confirmed at Players Championship 9 with Michael van Gerwen set to face Danny Noppert and Jose de Sousa to take on Andrew Gilding among the top ties.

Van Gerwen averaged 100 as he saw off Jonny Clayton 6-3 in a tie where he got into the lead early and Clayton had to much to do in the end to topple the Dutchman.

He now faces a familiar compatriot in Noppert who saw off Gary Anderson in the Last 16 and has a good record over him as of late.

De Sousa will take aim at his first title of the year but has an in-form Goldfinger looking to shoot down those hopes after seeing off Rob Cross 6-4.

Danny Jansen has been superb in his first year on tour so far and is into his first Quarter-Final, he faces Chris Dobey who won the battle of Bedlington against Callan Rydz averaging 102 in a 6-2 win.

While in the top half, it is rounded out by Mario Vandenbogaerde who decided against playing WDF Lakeside and now has a run to the Quarter-Finals to justify that and he will face Dave Chisnall.
