Van Gerwen storms past Van Duijvenbode with 106 average, set to face Bunting in Austrian Darts Open semi-finals

The second semi-final is confirmed at the Austrian Darts Open with Michael van Gerwen continuing his favourite tag into the latter stages in Graz.

Van Gerwen was facing off against Dirk van Duijvenbode in a Double Dutch duel and it was 'Mighty Mike' who blew 'The Titan' away with a 6-1 victory.

This with a 106 average from the World Number Three with a 103 from Van Duijvenbode only getting a solitary leg.

For MVG, he produced three 180's and 42.9% on his doubles restricting Van Duijvenbode to only three darts at double throughout the whole tie.

Next up will be Stephen Bunting who completed the semi-final line-up defeating Rob Cross 6-4 in the end.

Bunting pounced on a poor doubling display from 'Voltage' who missed 18 darts at doubles throughout the contest.

Despite that, it was a hard fought display from 'The Bullet' who fell over the line but he knows he won't get gifted opportunities similar to that against a fired up MVG shortly.
