Michael van Gerwen's legion of Dutch fans will have their wish of seeing the Green Machine at least one more time this evening on the Rotterdam stage.
This after Van Gerwen survived a scare against Michael Smith to win through to the semi-finals on Night Seven of
Premier League Darts action.
For only the second time in his career, he averaged below 90 as he wasn't at his best but both caught alight in the final leg.
Smith hit two 180's against the throw and had two for the match with Van Gerwen not getting a chance at 106 but with the crowd heavily on his back, he missed two at double 20.
He gave a sarcastic thumbs up to the crowd who played their part as Van Gerwen hit double four to seal it in a 6-5 victory after Smith came from 5-3 down to send it all the way.
Next to face the fire of the Dutch crowd will be
Jonny Clayton with 'The Ferret' seeing off Gerwyn Price in a 6-5 victory to seal his spot.
All Quarter-Finals went the distance with the fans getting their money's worth with Price wiring a match dart in the deciding leg in a thrilling tie.
But it was a tie which saw Clayton produce some quality finishing on his way to initial daylight as he hit a 120 and 121 checkout back-to-back to go 5-3 ahead.
This before Price returned with some quality finishing of his own hitting a 154 followed by 70 after surviving four match darts to send it all the way before missing his shot to move through with relief for Clayton.
