Christian Kist lost 3-1 to Madars Razma but in reality brought himself into Alexandra Palace folklore more than the victor having pinned a nine-dart finish at the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship.

It is also a historic feat with Kist having made one fan in the crowd incredibly rich with 60k and while he said himself after also receiving that amount that he will now go on vacation, the loss still hurts.
"Nine-darter was nice but I lost the game. I'm a little bit disappointed. But it was great yeah of course. Maybe I'm on vacation next month (after winning 60,000). It's nice but what I say I lost first round so I'm a little bit disappointed," said Kist post match.
"I think I've hit one two times in practice and I think four times now on the PDC Tour."
"I won one time in the first round but the last two times I've not been lucky in the first round. In 2018, played first round against MIchael van Gerwen you are not lucky but this year I was hoping I won the first game but it's not happening."
He was also asked about the charitable element and lauded that also. "Feels very good. That I do it for. It's a nice feeling for me and for the people of course."
