Gary Anderson had to give up halfway through his match against Martin Schindler at the sixth Players Championship tournament of the season on Tuesday.
A shoulder injury prevented 'The Flying Scotsman' from continuing play at an interval of 3-3. He suddenly decided to shake hands with a surprised Schindler and walked off after a brief explanation.
Anderson managed to reach the semifinals of Players Championship 5 on Monday. Then he lost 7-6 to eventual tournament winner Raymond van Barneveld after a thriller.
