Dave Chisnall-Ross Smith and Dirk van Duijvenbode-Daryl Gurney set for Players Championship 6 semi-finals

The semi-finals are confirmed at Players Championship 6 with Dirk van Duijvenbode set to face Daryl Gurney and Dave Chisnall will take on Ross Smith as we go one step closer to finding out the latest winner in Hildesheim.

Van Duijvenbode was embroiled in an all Dutch battle with former ProTour winner and Challenge Tour leader, Danny Jansen. He came out on top 6-5 with a near 95 average. But it was his opponent and Chisnall that impressed the most.

Gurney hit a 100 average in taking down Connor Scutt 6-0, while Chisnall saw off Martin Schindler who benefited the round prior from Gary Anderson throwing in the towel mid match due to a shoulder injury. But 'Chizzy' averaged 102 in a 6-2 win and the second seed now faces Ross Smith who defeated Karel Sedlacek.
