Damon Heta has been seemingly reborn in 2023. Reinventing himself, 'the Heat' is becoming known as one of the game's great characters thanks to his wacky and wonderful walk-ons.
This trend continued on Friday at the New South Wales Darts Masters as he was welcomed back home to Australia with a heroes welcome. Walking out to the Aussie favourite 'Waltzing Matilda', the Wollongong crowd were brought to their feet in adulation. The crowd's response seemed to spur on Heta as he put in the performance of the first round, beating Joe Comito with an average of 106.
