"It means a lot" says Noppert after being invited for first full World Series experience in Australia and New Zealand

Danny Noppert was an impressive winner in his first-round matchup at the New South Wales Darts Masters against local competitor and TV debutant, Brenton Lloyd.

Having started brightly, Noppert faded somewhat in the middle portion of the match. "I don't know what happened in between. I couldn't find myself," he admits post-match in an interview with Online Darts. "I think the 110 finish saved me. It got me back on the level like I know I can."

After missing out on Premier League selection earlier this year, Noppert has repeatedly expressed his gratefulness to the PDC for being invited to represent them in the World Series of Darts events Down Under. 'The Freeze' is determined to enjoy his time on the other side of the world whether or not he manages to take a tournament win.

"Yeah it means a lot to me. It's a nice area over here, I like it and I'm enjoying it," says the Dutchman. "I'm with my brother and yeah, nice views over here and a nice area."
